Sadly, the last name has not been written on this Roll of Honour.

For as long as the United Kingdom lasts, somewhere in the world a Royal Marine will be putting his life on the line, as they have since their origins from 28th October 1664

'Once a Marine - Always a Marine'

At the end of his life a Royal Marine is said to 'pass over the bar'

Copyright Notice: The following pages in this Roll of Honour are a composite compiled from many other websites including the National Roll of Honour and the Commonwealth War Graves. The data has not always been consistent and in such cases the data from the National Roll of Honour is quoted. The pictures of memorials appear on several sites and it is not clear if copyright is involved in their use on this site. If there is a problem in their use in this regard please contact our webmaster. Any pictures of the Fallen have also been supplied by family members and Oppos. Any pictures of graves have in many cases derived from http://www.twgpp.org/index.php and larger versions are available on that site. There is copyright to these pictures with the CWGC.

Putting this Roll of Honour together has been a big undertaking and unfortunately there are likely to be some mistakes and possibly missing entries. We therefor apologise for any errors or omissions throughout this article and would ask you to please contact our webmaster notifying us of any errors or omissions and we will make the appropriate alterations as soon as possible.

Also if you have any further information or photos that you would like to be considered for addition to an entry then again please contact our webmaster and we will  add any appropriate information or photographs as soon as possible.

We gratefully acknowledge the hard work and time taken by Ted Sparrow (ex 40 Cdo) in helping to produce this article, by collating all of the information within.
